Serving Maidenhead, Windsor, Eton, Ascot & the Royal Borough
Private Tuition · Est. 2026

Qualified teachers. Quietly excellent results.

We connect families across the Royal Borough with qualified, DBS-checked classroom teachers for one-to-one tuition. Specialists in 11+ entrance preparation, KS1 and KS2 primary support.

The Process

A considered introduction, not a marketplace.

Finding the right tutor for a child matters more than finding one quickly. We take time with each family to understand what you're looking for before recommending a teacher.

i.

Initial conversation

A short call to understand your child's year group, current school, areas of focus, and any specific entrance examinations on the horizon.

ii.

Personal recommendation

We suggest a tutor from our network whose teaching background, subject expertise, and availability genuinely fit. We don't send shortlists for you to wade through.

iii.

Ongoing oversight

Sessions begin in your home, the tutor's home, or online. We stay involved — adjusting the match if needed and supporting both family and teacher throughout.

Areas of Focus

Preparation for the schools that matter locally.

Our tutors prepare children for entrance to the selective grammar and independent schools that families across Maidenhead, Windsor and Ascot most commonly consider — alongside broader support in primary literacy, numeracy and confidence.

If your target school isn't listed, please ask. We work with families preparing for entrance across Berkshire and Buckinghamshire.

Where We Work

Local to your neighbourhood.

We work with families across the Royal Borough and the surrounding villages. Our tutors live locally and know the schools your child is preparing for.

Our Standards

Four things we insist upon.

Qualified Teacher Status

Every tutor in our network holds QTS or equivalent and has classroom teaching experience. We do not place undergraduates, regardless of their academic record. Teaching a child well is a craft learned over years, and we believe families deserve practitioners, not enthusiasts.

Enhanced DBS Verification

No tutor is introduced to a family without a current Enhanced DBS certificate and identity verification on file. We see the certificates. We check the dates. We renew them on schedule.

Local Knowledge

Our tutors live and work in the Royal Borough and the surrounding area. They know which entrance papers favour reasoning over content, which schools weight interview performance heavily, and how to prepare a child sensibly without overburdening them.

Honest Conversations

If we don't believe tutoring will help, or if a particular school is unlikely to be the right fit, we say so. We would rather lose a booking than place a child in a course of preparation that won't serve them.

Fees

Transparent rates. No subscriptions.

You pay only for the sessions your child attends. Our involvement — matching, introductions, ongoing support — is included in the hourly rate. Tutors are paid fairly; families are charged honestly.
